Legal notice
The essentials in one place: the publisher behind Galley & Grain, the company whose servers deliver it, the terms for quoting or reusing our work, and the little that happens to your data when you read us.
Publisher
The site is published by Galley & Grain itself, an independent online magazine of kitchen planning and renovation advice. No individual byline appears on our guides: the editorial team researches them and they go out under the masthead.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
Independence
Galley & Grain is not connected with any manufacturer, retailer, trade association or design firm. Organisations whose guidelines, standards or advice we cite — among them the National Kitchen & Bath Association, standards bodies and public agencies — are named as sources only. The publication has no link with the website that formerly used this domain (see about this domain). No advertiser, sponsor or affiliate programme pays for any page, and the site contains no affiliate links.
Nature of the information
Articles provide general information about kitchen design, materials and remodeling. They are not professional design, engineering, electrical, plumbing, legal or financial advice, and they do not replace local building codes, permits, manufacturers' installation instructions or the advice of a qualified professional who has seen your home.
Reuse
- All texts are written for this site. Linking to any page is welcome; republishing an article in full requires the editors' agreement.
- Photographs are in the public domain or released under CC0, and the plan drawings are original illustrations made for the site. Our credits page lists each image, its author and its source.
- Trademarks and product names mentioned belong to their owners.
Privacy
Galley & Grain sets no cookies and uses no audience measurement, advertising network, embedded video or social-media buttons. Fonts and images are served from the same server as the text. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes connection data such as IP addresses and technical logs in order to deliver and protect the pages, under its own privacy policy. The publication itself holds no personal data about readers.
Requests
Requests for corrections or updates to an article, and questions about the use of images, are handled by the editors of Galley & Grain.
