Galley & Grain illustrates its articles with photographs that their authors have placed in the public domain or released under the CC0 dedication, almost all found on Wikimedia Commons, and with plan drawings made by the editors. We chose real kitchens over showroom renderings wherever we could: a renovation still under way, a slab at the stone yard, a cabin window, the kitchen of a Breton château. This page names every image, where it appears and where it comes from.
